Fayetteville – The Arkansas football team is set to strengthen its coaching staff for the 2025 season by bringing in successful high school coach Che Hendrix as a senior defensive analyst. Hendrix, who has spent the last seven seasons at Boerne High School located near San Antonio, Texas, will focus on working with the nickel backs, according to reports.
During his tenure at Boerne, Hendrix compiled an impressive record of 71 wins and 19 losses and guided the Greyhounds to a significant achievement by finishing as the state runner-up in Class 4A-Division I in 2022. His experience also includes a coaching stint at Frisco Heritage, where he accumulated an overall career record of 101 wins and 62 losses.
Hendrix, a Dallas native and a graduate of Abilene Christian University, has deep ties to the Arkansas program, as his middle son, Hutson, has committed to the Razorbacks as a preferred walk-on fullback. Meanwhile, his youngest son, Hank, stands out as a sophomore quarterback with several scholarship offers, including one from Arkansas.
Last year, Hank Hendrix delivered an exceptional performance, completing 274 of 389 passes for a total of 4,237 yards, with 46 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. He also contributed on the ground with 104 rushing yards and a touchdown. Hank is rated as a 4-star recruit by On3.com and is currently viewed as the fourth-best quarterback and 34th overall prospect in his class, making him one of the top players in Texas.
Hutson, who chose Arkansas over offers from Texas Tech and Baylor, is excited to join the program, following his younger brother’s success. The Hendrix brothers even attended the Razorbacks’ thrilling 19-14 victory over Tennessee last October, showcasing their strong family support for their collegiate team. Their older sibling, Houston, currently plays as a defensive back at the Air Force Academy.
With these new additions, Arkansas is positioning itself to build a strong foundation as they move forward, looking to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
