Denver Broncos Show Major Support for Colorado High-School Football

The Denver Broncos have taken a remarkable step to support high-school football players across Colorado. In an initiative titled “All In. All Covered.”, the Broncos are partnering with the helmet manufacturer Riddell to provide a total of 15,516 Riddell Axiom helmets to every high-school football program in the state.

This unprecedented gesture emerged during a meeting of the Denver Broncos Foundation Board in August 2024. The main aim of the program is to reduce barriers to participation in football while enhancing the health and safety of the players. This four-year initiative targets all 277 high-school football teams, ensuring that young athletes can play with improved protective gear.

The Axiom helmets were chosen for their superior safety and performance features. According to a press release from the Broncos, the Axiom includes the TRU-FIT SYSTEM, which utilizes 3D imaging to create a personalized fit for each player. This advancement aims to enhance impact response and protect players during games. Additionally, the helmets come equipped with InSite Smart Helmet Technology, which allows for impact sensing and reporting.

The total cost for this remarkable program is estimated to be around $12 million. This funding will come entirely from the Denver Broncos Foundation, showcasing a commitment to the well-being of young athletes in the community. It’s an inspiring model that may encourage other professional teams across the nation to consider similar initiatives in their own states.

With this generous offering, the Denver Broncos are not just supporting high-school football, but they are also leading a movement focused on improving the safety and experience of the sport for younger generations.
