Winter Football Honors Awarded in Delaware
As the chilly December air settles in, the Delaware Interscholastic Football Coaches Association (DIFCA) has revealed the 2024 All-Class Teams, showcasing some of the finest high school football talent in the state. The announcement comes as the local community prepares for the upcoming game this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
This year’s highlights include Malik Bell from Sussex Central and Jase Munson of St. Georges, who have both earned the title of Class 3A Players of the Year. Their exceptional performances throughout the season have set a high bar for their peers.
The 2024 DIFCA 3A All-Class First Team features some impressive athletes. Among them are Desai Drummond, a junior quarterback from Appoquinimink, and a trio of talented running backs, including Kahmaj Kearney from Smyrna and Makai Walker of Middletown. Notable wide receivers on the list are Jahsiear Rogers and Brysheem Davis, both making significant impacts for their teams.
Defensively, Robbie Johnson of Salesianum took home the Lineman of the Year award, while Jase Munson secured the Defensive Player of the Year title. Malik Bell also clinched the Offensive Player of the Year award, highlighting his all-around skills on the field.
