In Los Angeles, the CIF-SS championship games brought thrilling matchups on Friday night. There were several exciting contests across different divisions, with teams battling for their titles.

In the Division 1 final, Mater Dei edged out St. John Bosco with a close score of 31-24. This victory marked back-to-back championships for Mater Dei. The game featured a late surge from St. John Bosco’s junior kicker, CJ Wallace, who drilled a 48-yard field goal, narrowing the gap. Mater Dei’s senior running back, Jordon Davison, who scored three touchdowns in the game, secured the win with a key first down in the closing minutes. Mater Dei led 17-14 at halftime.

Moving to Division 3, Edison took the crown after defeating Simi Valley 35-21. Quarterback Sam Thomson was instrumental, throwing for 224 yards and claiming four total touchdowns.
