Central Texas High School Football Week 10 Highlights
As the regular season inches toward its conclusion, Central Texas high school football teams showcased some impressive talent during Week 10. With thrilling matchups taking place across the region, several players stood out in significant ways.
In a closely contested game, Round Rock saw Garlington make a huge impact, rushing for 115 yards on 18 carries in a narrow 22-17 win against Stony Point. His performance may not have included a touchdown, but he was essential in maintaining the Dragons’ ground game.
Elsewhere, at Weiss, a recent Colorado commit continued to shine. The standout receiver recorded 162 yards and two touchdowns on just five receptions. His ability to perform in key moments has captivated many this season.
College Station showcased a dynamic duo during their game against Weiss. Martinez-Brown led with 131 yards and four touchdowns, while Stapp contributed 147 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. Together, they proved to be a formidable force on the field.
Over in Cedar Park, a young quarterback demonstrated versatility by throwing for 183 yards and rushing for 156 yards, amassing over 2,000 all-purpose yards this season with an average of around 262.6 yards per game.
Liberty Hill saw Zapata steal the spotlight with a remarkable 221 yards on just eight carries and one touchdown, leading his team in a standout performance.
In a critical playoff-contending game, Johnson‘s Hatnot rushed for 162 yards and scored three touchdowns, playing a vital role in their victory over Judson.
Finally, Anderson had an outstanding showing with Small catching 240 yards on nine receptions and four touchdowns. Gerlich, the quarterback for Anderson, was equally impressive, throwing for just under 400 yards and achieving a 74% completion rate.
