Alabama High School Football Rankings: Week 8 Update

This week’s Alabama sports roundup brings exciting updates from high school football across the state as teams compete fiercely for top spots in their respective rankings.

In the AHSAA Class 7A rankings, Auburn leads the pack with a perfect record of 7-0 and has received 18 first-place votes, totaling 216 points. Following closely are Central-Phenix City with a record of 6-1 and 158 points, and Thompson at 6-2 holding 138 points. Other notable teams include Mary Montgomery (7-1, 115 pts) and Hoover (6-2, 103 pts).

Meanwhile, in Class 6A, Saraland remains undefeated at 7-0, leading with 14 first-place votes and 201 points. Clay-Chalkville is also climbing the ranks, standing at 7-0 with 167 points. Hot on their heels is Parker at 7-1 with 143 points.

Turning to Class 5A, Catholic-Montgomery is shining bright with a record of 7-0 and 13 first-place votes, racking up 201 points. Guntersville is not far behind, boasting a perfect 7-0 record and 162 points.

In Class 4A, Jackson leads with a record of 7-1 and 216 points, followed closely by Pleasant Grove at 6-1 with 152 points.
