Alabama High School Football Rankings Heading into Week Two

This week, the high school football scene in Alabama is heating up as teams transition into week two of the AHSAA season. Central-Phenix City remains on top in the first-place rankings with an impressive 2-0 record and 216 points. The team received 18 first-place votes, solidifying their lead in the rankings. Following closely behind is Enterprise, also undefeated at 2-0, accumulating 145 points.

Other notable teams include Thompson, ranking third with a record of 1-1 and 141 points; Auburn, sitting at 2-0 with 138 points; and Dothan, who also remains perfect at 2-0, with 100 points.

In the 6A category, Saraland leads the rankings with a 2-0 record and 193 points, earning 11 first-place votes. Parker is in second place, also at 2-0, with 177 points. Meanwhile, Clay-Chalkville, Spain Park, and Oxford, all maintaining a winning record, round out the top five.

In the 5A division, Guntersville is on a roll, holding the top spot alongside a 2-0 record with 191 points. Catholic-Montgomery follows closely behind with 170 points. Other teams competing for the top include Central-Clay Co. and Leeds, both holding undefeated records.

In the smaller classifications, Pisgah leads the pack in 3A with 212 points while holding a 1-0 record. Wadley tops the 1A division with 207 points and a 2-0 record. Chambers Academy maintains the top position in the private school rankings, holding a 1-1 record and 209 points.

The competition among these teams is fierce, and with so many undefeated teams, fans can expect another exciting week of high school football in Alabama.
