Excitement Surges as New Leaders Emerge in Indiana High School Football Rankings Heading into Week 3

In Indianapolis, the excitement is building as two new teams have claimed the No. 1 spots in the USA TODAY Network Indiana high school football poll going into Week 3. This week’s rankings reflect changes following some intense games across the state.

Leading the way in Class 3A is Evansville Memorial (2-0), which moved up one position after a solid 35-14 victory against Evansville North. Previously ranked No. 1, Heritage Hills (1-1) dropped down to No. 3 after a tough 35-7 loss to the Christian Academy from Kentucky. not far behind is Lawrence North (2-0), stepping into the top 10 at No. 9 and Columbus North making its debut at No. 10.

In Class A, the top spot now belongs to North Judson (2-0), which jumped up after former No. 1, South Putnam, slid down to No. 4 following a 34-12 defeat against the top team in Class 2A. This shake-up indicates that Week 2 was full of surprises.
