Central Ohio saw a thrilling start to the 2024 high school football season as teams from Delaware to Lancaster, and Hilliard to Pickerington hit the field for their first games on Friday night. Among the highlights was the match-up between the three-time defending Division I state champion Lakewood St. Edward and Pickerington North, where St. Edward continued their dominance with a convincing victory of 28-0.

Another notable game was at the newly inaugurated stadium of Pickerington Central, where they faced off against Harvest Prep. It was a closely contested game, with Harvest Prep taking the win in a nail-biting 24-21 finish.
