Littleton High School Football Team Under Investigation Amid Serious Allegations

Littleton, Colo. — The Littleton Police Department is currently looking into serious allegations involving several members of the Littleton High School football team. This investigation began after an anonymous tip was received by the school on Thursday, prompting immediate actions from school officials.

On Friday, Superintendent Todd Lambert communicated with families of the football athletes in a letter addressed to the entire Littleton Public Schools (LPS) community. The letter, which was crafted by Littleton High School Principal Dr. Thomas Velazquez, emphasized the district’s commitment to transparency and responsibility to the community.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Friday’s football practice and team dinner were canceled, alongside a scrimmage that was scheduled for Saturday. Principal Velazquez did not disclose specific information regarding the nature of the allegations but urged anyone with pertinent information to reach out to school officials or law enforcement.

A key statement from Velazquez reassured families that the school will be fully cooperating with the Littleton Police Department throughout this investigation. He mentioned, “We will keep you updated as we are able, as this situation evolves and as we receive more details that will inform our next steps.”

Superintendent Lambert later indicated that the school district is unable to reveal further details at this point in the investigation. He promised to share any additional information “as appropriate” with the community as the situation unfolds.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the outcome will be closely followed by the local community. The school district is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all its students during this challenging time.
