An athlete made headlines recently by finishing second in the triple jump at the Division 3 state meet, leaping an impressive 43-10.75. Earlier this season, he soared to victory during the Rosholt sectional with a fantastic jump of 44-3. Meanwhile, another competitor not only claimed the triple jump title at the Central Wisconsin Conference-Large Championships with a leap of 42-5 but also triumphed in the high jump at 6-0. In distance events, we have athletes clocking in some impressive times. One runner finished 15th in the 3,200-meter run at the Division 2 state meet, with a personal best of 9:59.90, and earlier secured a second place finish at the Freedom sectional with a time of 9:49.72. The same athlete also placed second in the 3,200 with a time of 10:33.21 and clinched third in the 1,600, finishing at 4:40.79 at the North Eastern Conference Championships. It’s safe to say they’re on the right track!

Our local athletes also excel in hurdles. One standout finished eighth with a time of 41.14 seconds in the 300 hurdles at the Division 2 state meet, after winning the event at the Freedom sectional with a quick time of 40.28. Another competitor demonstrated versatility, earning ninth in the 300 hurdles and 13th in high jump at the state meet. The dedication shown by these athletes is truly commendable.
High Jump Glory
A thrilling performance at the Division 1 state meet had an athlete tie for fifth in high jump, reaching a height of 6-6. Another secured victory at the West De Pere sectional with a jump of 6-5. It’s impressive to see what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance!
Relay Teams on the Rise
As for teamwork, the athletes have shown strength as part of relay teams. The Kaukauna 400 relay team placed third at the Division 1 state meet, showcasing the power of collaboration amidst all the competition. Plus, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the 800 relay team, which finished 10th at state with a time of 1:34.12 and the 400 relay team, who made waves with an impressive eighth finishing time of 43.41.
