It’s that time of year again! Holy Trinity Catholic High School is thrilled to announce its golf teams for 2025. The buzz around the school is palpable as both the girls and boys teams gear up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season. With strong returning players on both squads, we can’t help but feel optimistic looking ahead!

Meet the Talented Girls’ Team

The girls’ team is comprised of six very talented players, and the front row is quite remarkable! Fans can look out for Elizabeth Griffin, Calli Kruse, Eva Denning, Emma Mohrfeld, and Adalyn Kruse. Rounding out the team are back-row players Tanner Snaadt, Brock Scheetz, Nathan Box, Caleb Rea, Max Kruse, Corby Moeller, Jameson Denning, Cooper Boylan, and Blake Mohrfeld. Unfortunately, not all players could be present for the team announcement, with girls’ player Teagan Snaadt and boys’ player Luke Hellige absent.

This year, the girls’ team is returning with their top five players from last season, making them a force to be reckoned with. Senior Teagan Snaadt and junior Emma Mohrfeld are leading the charge, both having shown stellar performances last year. Mohrfeld boasted an impressive cumulative average of 54.44, while Snaadt, a multi-sport standout, had an average of 56.04. Both earned all-conference honors, setting the bar high for the season.

Other strong returning members include Eva Denning with an average of 66.69, Elizabeth Griffin at 64.36, and Adalyn Kruse at 66.76. Keep an eye out for freshman Calli Kruse as well, as she is expected to make waves and could even vie for a top spot on the team.

Coach John Goetz expressed excitement about the experience level of the team, noting that five of the six players have prior experience. However, he also expressed concern about availability due to overlapping commitments with soccer. Balancing multiple sports can be tough, but with this lineup, fans will surely see some great golf!

The Boys’ Team Aiming High

The boys’ team is stepping into the spotlight with great ambition this season, aiming to climb up the competitive ranks in the SEI Super Conference. Senior Luke Hellige is their leading player, boasting an impressive average of 49.11 last year. With him, returning juniors include Nathan Box (55.05), Jameson Denning (61.60), Blake Mohrfeld (54.37), and Brock Scheetz (55.05). They bring experience and skill to the lineup.

Not to be forgotten is sophomore Max Kruse, who averaged 53.69 last season and is looking to build on that this year. New faces on the team include juniors Caleb Rea and Corby Moeller, along with promising freshmen Tanner Snaadt and Cooper Boylan, who add fresh energy and skills to the mix.

Coach Goetz shared that the practice schedule is robust and that he is feeling optimistic about what’s to come this season. With the talented group assembled, both teams are ready to take on the challenges and excitement ahead!

Looking Forward

As the new season unfolds, everyone is excited about what’s in store for the Holy Trinity Catholic High School golf teams. Coach Goetz is hopeful that the athletes will build off last year’s accomplishments, and with such a talented bunch on board, it’s clear there are high expectations. Get ready, fans!
