The high school softball season is really heating up here in the beautiful city of Florida, and the Big Bend region is buzzing with excitement as we gear up to announce this week’s stand-out players. As the season rolls along, the competition only gets better, making this a thrilling time for players, fans, and families alike!

Voting is currently underway for the Big Bend High School Softball Player of the Week, so make sure to head over and cast your votes before the deadline on April 6 at 11:59 p.m. With so many impressive performances this past week, the choices sure are tough! Star Performances

First up is the fantastic Conte, who brought their A-game in a stunning performance, going three-for-four in a phenomenal 30-0 victory over FAMU DRS. Conte didn’t just stop there; they also added a double and an RBI in a nail-biter against Taylor County that ended with a score of 13-12.

Next, we have Wesley, who delivered a powerhouse showing with three hits, including a home run and three RBIs during a 7-3 win against Taylor County. Wesley also maintained their momentum in successive victories over Bell and Lincoln, showcasing a stellar combination of skill and determination!

Let’s not overlook Fuller, who batted in three hits with one being a home run, alongside a double, three RBIs, and two runs against Taylor County. And how about Webb? They went three-for-three with one home run and a whopping six RBIs in a stunning 16-0 victory over FAMU DRS!

Scholars of the game will want to catch Holmes, who proved their pitching prowess with seven complete innings against Bay, allowing just two hits and two runs while striking out an impressive 14 batters, all while also scoring two runs with a home run and three RBIs at the plate!

Long compiled four hits, including two home runs during a doubleheader against University Christian and Westminster Academy, while Hunter pitched a near-perfect game, allowing just a single hit in an 11-1 win over Westminster Academy.
