Washington to Host NCAA Gymnastics Championships

SEATTLE — The University of Washington is gearing up to host the first three rounds of the 2025 NCAA gymnastics championships at the Alaska Airlines Arena. The competition is scheduled to take place from April 3-6, and fans can purchase tickets online.

In an exciting announcement, four GymDawgs have qualified to represent the team. Mary McDonough will compete as an all-around athlete, showcasing her skills across multiple events. Chelsea Hallinan has earned a spot on the balance beam, while Emily Innes will participate on both beam and floor. Lastly, Taylor Russon will take her talents to the uneven bars and beam.

The Huskies recently made their first appearance at the Big Ten Championship, where they finished in 10th place overall. McDonough had a strong showing, placing ninth in the all-around with a score of 39.325. Russon tied for 18th on bars and finished sixth on beam. Hallinan tied for 61st on beam, while Innes secured ties for 23rd on beam and 10th on floor.

The Washington Regional will feature nine teams competing alongside all-around competitors and individual event specialists. Fans can expect thrilling performances in the events of vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
