Fort Worth High School Soccer Playoffs: Thrilling Bi-District Matches!

Hey there, sports fans! If you’re a fan of high school soccer, March 21, 2025, was a date to remember in the Fort Worth area as several teams kicked off their bi-district playoff matches with some exhilarating performances!

Southlake Carroll Shines Bright

Starting with a jaw-dropping game, Southlake Carroll really brought their A-game in their Class 6A Division 2 match against Mansfield at the Crowley ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium. Carroll took the victory with an impressive score of 3-0. With a stunning total of 21 shots compared to Mansfield’s mere 5, Southlake Carroll showcased their offensive prowess throughout the match.

The excitement kicked off early when Townes Hargrove netted the first goal for Carroll with a penalty kick, a result of a foul in the box against John Skiermont. Unfortunately for Mansfield’s goalkeeper, Logan Marks, this resulted in him receiving a yellow card and leaving the field early. Just five minutes later, Logan Smejkal added to the scoreboard with a brilliant header from a corner taken by Hargrove.

In the 67th minute, Cole Swett sealed the deal with a third goal, launching a magnificent shot from 20 yards out. It’s worth noting that Mansfield barely managed to get two shots in during the second half, which really didn’t help their chances.

Now with a record of 15-3-4, Southlake Carroll moves on to the area round, where they will face San Angelo Central, who boasts a record of 13-4-5. San Angelo Central earned their spot by defeating El Paso Socorro 1-0 on March 20. Mark your calendars! The area round game is set for March 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Abilene Christian University.

Lake Dallas Dominates the Field

Continuing with the playoff excitement, Lake Dallas put on a show of their own with a mind-blowing 9-1 victory over Fort Worth Southwest in the Class 4A Division 1 match at Clark Stadium. Lake Dallas wasted no time, scoring five goals in just the first 14 minutes of the second half, taking complete control of the game.

The scoring frenzy featured notable contributions from Cameron Parma, Carlos Larin, Mitchell White, and Adrian Anaya. Talk about an electrifying performance!

Tight Match for Burleson Centennial

The action didn’t stop there as Burleson Centennial faced off against Fort Worth Paschal. After a tense match that ended in a scoreless draw through regulation and overtime, Centennial triumphed in a penalty shootout, winning 4-1. They are now ready to advance and take on North Richland Hills Richland next week.

Joshua and Other Scores from the Night
