Honaker’s Big Opening Day

This week marked the debut of Derrick Murphy as head coach for Honaker, and what a debut it was! The team came out swinging against Ridgeview, showcasing their talent in spectacular fashion. The stars of the show were none other than Connor Musick, who tossed an incredible five-inning no-hitter. Can you believe it? Musick struck out nine batters and only walked two, managing to complete this remarkable feat with just 74 pitches!

As if that weren’t enough, Musick also contributed at the plate. He went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. The Tigers took advantage of their hot start, scoring an astonishing nine runs in the first inning alone, ultimately winning the game with a score of 13-1. Other players like Caden Altizer and Isaac Johnson each drove in two runs, while Matthew Nunley scored three times.
