1. Lilly Goodwin, Desert Mountain, P, Jr.
Starting off strong, Lilly has frankly been nothing short of phenomenal! She threw a perfect game against Verrado, racking up a jaw-dropping 21 strikeouts. Just a day earlier, she pitched four innings allowing only one hit and struck out 12 battters against Sunrise Mountain. Currently boasting a record of 5-0, Lilly has recorded an impressive 71 strikeouts with only four walks in just 27 innings pitched. Talk about leading from the mound!
2. Amelia Streuber, Canyon del Oro, P, Sr.
Next up is Amelia, who demonstrated her dominance during a resounding 9-0 victory over 6A Tucson by striking out 15 batters while allowing just two hits. This senior is definitely making her mark with some stellar pitching that has her team on the winning track!
3. Caitlyn Ackerley, Corona del Sol, P, Jr.
Caitlyn pitched a complete-game shutout against Sandra Day O’Connor, only giving up four hits. To top off her amazing performance, she also earned a save against Mountain Ridge in a solid 2-0 week. The future looks bright for this junior as she leads her team to victory!
4. Maria Lopez, Bisbee, INF, Sr.
Switching gears to the offense, senior Maria Lopez delighted fans with an outstanding performance. With an 8-for-12 batting average this week, she connected for two home runs. She’s heating up and keeping the excitement alive at Bisbee!
5. Derryel Medel, Yuma, 3B, Jr.
Derryel had a smashing game, going 3-for-4 with a double and driving in three RBIs during a dominant 12-0 win over Westview. This junior’s contributions certainly played a significant role in Yuma’s resounding performance!
6. Casey Evans, Shadow Mountain, P, Sr.
Casey is making her mark this season, averaging an impressive 10 strikeouts in her first four starts. Leading Shadow Mountain to a 4-0 record, which is their best start in over a decade, she’s proving that the new players can definitely bring the heat!
7. Shaylee Fuell, Mica Mountain, SS, So.
In her sophomore year, Shaylee is hitting an incredible .600 in her first nine games, including three home runs, two of which are grand slams! Moreover, she’s been nimble on the bases, stealing 10 bases in 11 attempts. This girl has the skills to shine!
8. Audrie Castaneda, Canyon View, P, Jr.
Audrie launched her season with a bang, helping her team to a 4-0 start while striking out an astonishing 15 batting in one game. She pitched a five-inning perfect game with 10 strikeouts in a commanding 23-0 win over Youngker. What a performance!
9. Kaelyn Moffitt, Chaparral, SS, Jr.
Kaelyn had an exceptional week, going 11-for-15 at the plate, notching five doubles, a home run, and driving in 13 RBIs. With a slugging percentage of 1.267 and an OPS of 2.000, she’s clearly a force to be reckoned with!
10. Kendall Cochran, Red Mountain, P, Sr.
