A proud veteran, Braddy served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1968. He enjoyed a fruitful 33-year career at Southwestern Bell as a lineman and installer. He was heavily involved in volunteer work, particularly with Hearthstone: A Sanctuary for Men’s Recovery. Braddy was passionate about gardening and shared countless joyful moments outdoors with family and friends.
Michael Devlin
Also remembered is Michael Devlin, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 79. A Blue Springs, Kansas native, Devlin graduated from College High in 1964. He served in the Vietnam War as a military policeman and later pursued his passions for sailing, hunting, fishing, and train collecting. He cherished time with his family, leaving behind children Sean, Jennifer, and Stephanie, alongside grandchildren who will remember him dearly.
Shanna Marie Smith
Finally, we remember Shanna Marie Smith, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at her home in Lawrence. Born on October 6, 1979, in Falls City, Nebraska, Smith graduated from Falls City High School in 1997. A dedicated mother to her daughter Sierra and a loving wife to Steven Jeramie Smith since 1998, she left a mark in her community. A family-only viewing is planned on February 21, with a celebration of life set for March 15 at the Cider Gallery. In her memory, donations are requested for Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka, KS.
