Cincinnati High School Football Scouting Combine Set to Showcase Talents of Future Athletes

Cincinnati is getting ready for an exciting event in the world of high school football. Nine Catholic high schools in the Cincinnati area will host a football scouting combine on Thursday, May 8. This combine will provide an opportunity for talented young athletes to showcase their skills to college recruiters and coaches.

Organized by La Salle head coach Pat McLaughlin, the combine will feature players from all four teams in the Greater Catholic League-South, as well as smaller Catholic schools from the GCL-Coed or Miami Valley Conference. It promises to be a great platform for high school players, especially those in the class of 2026 and beyond, to gain visibility in front of college coaches.

This event adds to another combine scheduled for May 6, which will feature eight programs from the Greater Miami Conference along with Kings from the Eastern Cincinnati Conference. These combines are crucial for young athletes hoping to take their football careers to the next level.

The schedule for the May 8 combine is set as follows, with each school hosting their own location:

  • 6 a.m. – St. Xavier
  • 7:30 a.m. – La Salle
  • 9 a.m. – Bishop Fenwick (including Badin players)
  • 10:30 a.m. – Roger Bacon
  • 12 p.m. – Purcell Marian
  • 1:30 p.m. – McNicholas
  • 3 p.m. – Elder
  • 6 p.m. – Moeller

These combines not only allow players to demonstrate their athletic abilities but also help them to connect with college programs that are scouting for upcoming talent. Cincinnati is buzzing with anticipation for these combines and the potential opportunities they bring for young athletes.
