Oradell, N.J. — The final national high school football Top 25 rankings for the 2024 season have been released, and the Northeast region has its own list of standout teams. With Bergen Catholic leading the way, the rankings highlight the top football schools from states including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and others.
Bergen Catholic, which finished at the impressive No. 5 on the national rankings, is the clear favorite in the Northeast, boasting a record of 11 wins and just 1 loss this past season. Following Bergen Catholic, the second-place team is DePaul Catholic, also out of New Jersey, holding an identical record of 11-1.
The third spot goes to Catholic Memorial from Massachusetts, finishing the season with a strong record of 12-1. Rounding out the top five are Hun from Princeton, N.J., at No. 4 with an 8-1 record, and Winslow Township at No. 5, who finished the season unbeaten at 9-0.
Other notable teams in the Northeast include Iona Prep from New York with an 11-1 record, Somers in Lincolndale, N.Y., who had a perfect 14-0 run, and Choate Rosemary Hall School from Wallingford, Conn., also finishing unbeaten at 9-0.
Completing the top ten, Toms River North from New Jersey went 14-0, and Christian Brothers Academy out of Syracuse, N.Y., matched that record, finishing the season strong at 14-0.
Some honorable mentions include teams like Brunswick School from Connecticut and Don Bosco Prep out of Ramsey, N.J. Other recognized teams also feature Pinkerton from Derry, N.H., Portland from Maine, and St. John’s Prep from Danvers, Mass.
