#30 Trenton Simpson from Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, N.C., has had a solid season with the Ravens, posting 73 combined tackles, five tackles for a loss, four pass breakups, and a fumble recovery. Meanwhile, #81 Devontez Walker, a rookie from West Charlotte High School, made a memorable debut with a touchdown reception that covered 21 yards.
On the field as a return specialist for the Bills, #29 Brandon Codrington from Raleigh has been turning heads with his impressive averages of 11.6 yards on punt returns and 27.8 yards on kick returns. However, his availability for the wild card round is in doubt due to a hamstring injury sustained in the regular season finale.
Another notable North Carolinian is #29 Ja’Quan McMillian, who has proven to be a formidable cornerback with the Dolphins, tallying 81 tackles, two interceptions, and even returning one for a touchdown this season.
