Shawnee County Football Stars Selected for 2025 Kansas Shrine Bowl All-Star Game

TOPEKA — Excitement is building in the Shawnee County area as four local high school football players were selected for the prestigious 2025 Kansas Shrine Bowl. This announcement came on Wednesday, revealing that Max Huston and Kaden Jordan from Seaman High School, along with Caden Estrada from Washburn Rural, and Jensen Schrickel from Hayden, will represent the East team in the all-star game.

The Shrine Bowl is a celebrated event that showcases some of the best high school talent in Kansas. This year’s game is set to take place on June 21 at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City, where players from across the state will take to the field to demonstrate their skills.

Max Huston, a senior quarterback for Seaman, had an impressive season. He threw for 2,532 yards and tossed 29 touchdowns, which earned him a spot on the first team for the all-United Kansas Conference. His teammate, Kaden Jordan, made an impact on the defensive front as a nose tackle and was also selected to the first-team all-conference list.

From Washburn Rural, Caden Estrada received recognition for his work on the offensive line, landing a spot on the first-team all-Centennial League list this season. Meanwhile, Jensen Schrickel, a junior, played a pivotal role in helping the Wildcats reach the Class 4A State Championship game, starring as both a wide receiver and defensive back.

Additionally, Jared Swafford, the head coach of Seaman, has been named as an assistant coach for the East team, further highlighting the local connection to this exciting event.
