2024 All-State High School Football Team Highlights Exceptional Talent in Washington
Washington talent took center stage as the annual All-State High School Football Team was announced, showcasing some of the top student-athletes from the previous season. The quarterback position was highlighted by Jake Davidson of Camas, who impressed with his strong performance in his senior year. Davidson completed an astonishing 224 of 321 passes for 3,711 yards, throwing 53 touchdowns while only tossing six interceptions. His leadership helped lead Camas to the No. 1 seed in the Class 4A state tournament, culminating in a runner-up finish.
Joining Davidson in the spotlight was Kolton Matson from Lake Stevens, who continued building on last season’s accolades. Matson led the Vikings to the quarterfinals, completing 186 of 277 passes for 2,710 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also showed his versatility by rushing for 373 yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Lance Allred from Royal dazzled as he racked up seven touchdowns—a combination of six rushing and one passing—in a state championship win, marking Royal’s fifth consecutive title.
Other standout players included Beau Oaksmith of Seattle Prep, who put up 3,000 total yards and 36 touchdowns for the Panthers, and Caleb Reed from Arlington, who rushed for 1,358 yards and 28 touchdowns. Reed’s success guided Arlington to the quarterfinals of the 4A state tournament. Steele Isaacs from Sumner was also a pivotal force, consistently pounding the rock during postseason play.
On defense, Derek Colman-Brusa, a junior from Kennedy Catholic, emerged as a top prospect, tallying an impressive 68 tackles and 12 sacks. His performance drew attention from many Division-I programs, indicating a promising future ahead.
This year’s selections illustrate the abundance of talent and competition in Washington’s high school football. The achievements by these athletes serve as a testament to their hard work and dedication, setting high expectations for their upcoming collegiate careers.
