Montpelier, Vermont — As the Vermont high school football season comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the outstanding performances of student athletes. Recently, the coaches of the Vermont Interscholastic Football League convened to select the all-state teams, recognizing the hard work and dedication shown by players throughout the season.
In Division I, Champlain Valley’s Rahn Fleming took top honors, while Fair Haven’s Adam Perry was recognized in Division II. Meanwhile, Ramsey Worrell from Woodstock earned accolades in Division III. The fierce competition culminated with Champlain Valley Union (CVU) proclaiming itself as one of the state’s best high school football teams ever.
The First Team Quarterbacks featured talents like Noah Bruttomesso from Rutland and Carter Bunnell from St. Johnsbury. Other standout athletes included running backs Avery Carl from Middlebury and Nick Daniels from Hartford. Champlain Valley’s Jacob Armstrong was a leading wide receiver alongside teammates Billy Bates and Dylan Frere.
In the second tier, notable players included Samuel Bent (Essex) and Anthony Bouffard (Burlington/South Burlington) in the quarterback and running back positions, respectively. The depth of talent was further highlighted by honorable mentions across various positions such as Sean Cozza (Brattleboro) and Zach Corbeil (Brattleboro).
In Division II, Fair Haven secured the championship for the first time since 2017, showcasing a remarkable squad that included quarterback Eli Allbee and running backs Aiden Boyd and Carson Clark.
As for Division III, the historic program of Windsor made a significant resurgence this season. Zach Dragon and Jack Dickerson emerged as standout quarterbacks, serving as driving forces for their teams.
