In Houston, Texas, a remarkable story is unfolding in the world of high school football. Seventeen-year-old Tobi Haastrup came into the sport without any prior experience or knowledge of the game, yet he has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most sought-after prospects in the recruitment cycle.
Originally from England, Haastrup never envisioned playing American football until he joined the Mayde Creek High football team last summer. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 235 pounds, with a stunning 10.7-second 100-meter dash time, he caught the attention of coaches who believed he could thrive in the sport.
