High School Football Rankings Heat Up as All No. 1 Teams Hold Steady in Week 5

In Indianapolis, the excitement surrounding high school football continues to build as we head into Week 5. For the first time this season, all six No. 1 teams in the state remain in their top spots according to the latest statewide media poll. The teams that have claimed their positions for the second consecutive week include Westfield in 6A, Plainfield in 5A, New Palestine in 4A, Evansville Memorial in 3A, Lafayette Central Catholic in 2A, and North Judson in A.

The return of all top-ranking teams showcases their strong performances so far this season. Interestingly, there are also seven new teams making their way into the top 10 across the different classes as Week 5 approaches, adding more competition to the mix.

6A:
Westfield (6-0) – 50 pts. – Prev: 1

5A:
Plainfield (6-0) – 50 pts. – Prev: 1

4A:

No teams dropped out of the rankings this week, which is quite a feat. However, several schools have been receiving votes to indicate strong performances. Notable among these are Carmel with 18 votes and Fishers with 9 votes.

As the week progresses, it will be interesting to see if the top teams can continue their dominant streaks or if any challengers will shake up the rankings.
