Texas High School Football Rankings: Duncanville Leads the Charge as Season Heats Up

Texas High School Football Rankings Update

This week in Texas, high school football has once again captured the spotlight with thrilling matchups and standout performances. After an exciting weekend of games, the On3 Massey Ratings have been updated, highlighting the top 25 football teams across the Lone Star State.

Leading the pack remains Duncanville, who returned to action and faced off against their Dallas-area rival South Oak Cliff. The Panthers showed their strength with a convincing 34-12 victory. Their momentum continued in Week 2 as they battled nationally ranked St. Frances Academy from Maryland, securing a hard-fought 28-24 win behind impressive play from quarterback Keelon Russell, who is committed to Alabama.

Dropping down to the second spot, Southlake Carroll is starting strong, too. They easily handled Midland with a score of 48-24 and followed it up by defeating the Byron Nelson Bobcats 33-21 to remain undefeated at 3-0.

North Shore moves into the third position after crushing South Oak Cliff 38-0 and beating Crowley 28-13. They continued their dominance with a smothering 47-3 win over Westfield.

Surprising many, Atascocita climbed to fourth place after distinguished wins, including an impressive 41-24 victory over Katy and a resounding 39-21 defeat of Austin Westlake, snapping their 44-game regular-season winning streak.

Moving to the fifth position, North Crowley celebrated a major victory against DeSoto, their first loss since last season. They followed that by defeating Denton Guyer 49-28, fueled by wide receiver Quentin Gibson’s outstanding performance.

Other teams making their mark include Allen and Summer Creek, who are both performing excellently this season. Allen stands strong after beating Cedar Hill 42-14 and Rock Hill 44-3, while Summer Creek is on a mission with a combined score of 156-0 against their first three opponents.

As the season progresses, fans around Texas are eagerly watching to see how the rest of the teams will shake out and if any surprises await in the coming weeks.
