Peters Township High School Football Rankings Shake-Up as 2024 Season Heats Up

In Peters Township, the high school football scene is buzzing with excitement as the 2024 season progresses. After a stormy start to the season, the PIAA rankings have seen quite a bit of action. Last week alone, there were six changes in the state Top 5, and this week it continues with five more shifts. While the higher classifications, Class 5A and Class A, remained steady with no changes, several teams faced a shake-up in the rankings.

Class 3A saw Scranton Prep and Neumann-Goretti drop out, making way for Imani Christian and Penn Cambria to step up. Similarly, in Class 6A, West Lawn Wilson exited the rankings, replaced by Manheim Township after a strong showing against William Penn with a score of 42-0.

Despite these changes, the teams holding the top spots in each classification remain unchanged. St. Joe’s Prep in 6A, Peters Township in 5A, Aliquippa in 4A, Northwestern Lehigh in 3A, Troy in 2A, and Bishop Guilfoyle in A continue their reign at the top.
