High School Football Week 3: Conference Play Kicks Off with Strong Performances Across Wisconsin

This past Friday marked the start of conference play in Week 3 of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association high school football season. Several local teams made a strong statement, claiming their spots as conference favorites with impressive performances.

The Southeast Conference kicked off with the Sabers traveling to Racine Case, where they came away with a solid 27-14 victory. Next up for them is a matchup against Racine Park this coming Friday.

The Warriors faced a tough challenge from Pewaukee in the Classic 8 Conference, suffering a 21-7 defeat at Muskego. They will seek to bounce back against Mukwonago next week.

Cedarburg celebrated a significant milestone, achieving its first 3-0 start since 2010 with a commanding 35-21 win at West Bend West. They will host Nicolet next Friday.

Meanwhile, the Owls held on to secure a narrow 31-26 victory against Hartford in a thrilling North Shore Conference face-off. They are set to play West Bend West next week.

The Badgers also made headlines with a dominant home performance, blowing past Union Grove with a convincing 41-6 win. They will travel to Waterford for their next game.

In another strong showing, Oconomowoc shut out Kettle Moraine with a resounding 30-0 victory, marking their second consecutive win against a ranked opponent. Their next opponent will be Waukesha West.

The Black Hawks continued their scoring spree, posting over 40 points again with a 49-7 win against Whitnall at home. They will head to Wisconsin Lutheran for their next game.

In a thrilling finish, Arrowhead managed to convert a two-point try in the final seconds to edge past Mukwonago, finishing the game at 29-28. They look forward to facing Muskego next.

On the other hand, the Lasers faced a second consecutive shutout, losing 30-0 to Oconomowoc at home. They will meet West Allis Hale this Friday.

Additionally, the Chargers had an impressive outing as well, routing Waukesha West with a score of 40-9 in a Greater Metro-Classic 8 Conference crossover game. They are scheduled to take on Brookfield Central next.
